Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born March 26, 1991, and professionally referred to as Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and was the first female signing with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released by Dreamville Records. She began to gain recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released the 7th of May, 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her music on the internet in 2012, when she released her mixtape debut Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. In 2014, she dropped new music through the internet including Bound. On July 21st, the 21st of July in 2015 Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes song"Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's references. Then, later in the season, the music was played around Dreamville. The 8th of December was the day she announced that she was officially signed by Dreamville Records. She made an appearance on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. In October 21, 2016, she released her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She also appeared in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus with Bas and her labelmates. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video for it was released on September 5th. On the 9th of November 2018 she dropped two additional singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Then, on November 13 the singer released two new singles, titled One and Pdigree. One and Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, February 26, 2019 for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured with Cole as part of her Creed II sound track on November 16. The track was released with a video on YouTube February 20, 2019 has been viewed over three million times over the first seven days. She was part of 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour at the end of December 2018.
