Anushka Sharma was born May 1, 1988 at Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh, India to Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is a colonel retd. Her mother is the homemaker. Karnesh Singh, the brother of Anushka and producer of films, served in the Merchant Navy. Anushka Sharma graduated at the Army School, Bangalore and is currently pursuing a the Bachelor of Arts (B.A) from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. Anushka has a Masters in Arts (Economics). Anushka was not interested in acting, but was more interested in becoming as a journalist or model. Anushka Sharma relocated to Mumbai in order to enroll at Elite Model Management and be trained under the direction of style consultant Prasad Bidapa. Anushka made her debut as a model for 2017 to model for Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show in Lakme Fashion Week. He selected her to be his finale model of the Spring/Summer 2007 Collection. Anushka's modelling career began at Lakme Fashion Week in 2017. She has since done various campaigns, such as those for Fiat Palio & Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka took an acting class before beginning to audition for film roles in addition to her modelling career. Anushka sharma was the first actress to film in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan. In preparation for her screen-test, Anushka Sharma took all day. In the following days, she was cast in three movies for Yash Raj Films. The film in which she appeared performed the role of a young girl who was married to a middle age man (the part Shah Rukh Khan is playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared alongside Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". The film was met with mixed receptions. Anushka Sharma was the lead in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat. The actress played a Punjabi woman in the middle class who owns her own wedding business. It was a surprise hit and received good reviews. The Band Baaja Baaraat anushka's three-film contract under Yash Raj Films banner was final.
